A Man's World? was my MFA thesis choreographic work, a culmination of two years of creative and scholarly research. It features I Know This Place Too Well (see below) with a few cast changes as the opening to the twenty-plus minute work.

Exploring my own dance journey as a male dancer, I looked at my own insecurities as a male who dances, as a male dancer that doesn't have the ideal "dancer body" and the stigma around boys who dance. I performed in this work, which was a challenge for me as I haven't performed in many years, having found more fulfillment as a choreographer rather than performer.

A Man's World?  premiered at the LeFevre Theater at Saint Mary's College of California as part of the Process Dance Festival in June 2017

Unlike physical mediums such as paintings or sculptures, dance leaves us with mere memories in space. If These Walls Could … explores what happens to a space after the dance is gone or rather if a space is no longer being used for dance. Through the dynamics of dance and space, this piece examines whether it is the space that makes the dance, or if it is the dance that makes the space.

This piece is dedicated to Beverly Ann "Bev" Wochoski, 1962 – 2016

If These Walls Could... premiered at the Lefevre Theatre at Saint Mary's College of California in June 2016.
